About the Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge
The Île-aux-Tourtes Bridge carries Autoroute 40 across the Lake of Two Mountains between Vaudreuil-Dorion and the western tip of the island of Montreal. It’s the main highway link between Montreal and Ottawa via Highway 417, and one of only two highway crossings off the west end of the island.
The bridge is being replaced, so lane reductions and overnight or weekend closures are common. Check Québec 511 for scheduled closures, and use these cameras to see how traffic is moving right now. The other way off the West Island is Autoroute 20 over the Galipeault and Taschereau bridges through Île-Perrot.
